A fairly large city there is public transport, although you can drive with the correct local driving licence. Requirements for Teaching in Dubai
Each organisation will have its own separate requirements, although many of the same legal and desired requirements are the same including appropriate education qualifications for the position you are applying.

- Police clearance certificate (Enhanced Disclosure) from your home country dated with past 6 months. R
- Certified and attested qualifications. R
- Native English speaker applying for positions delivered in English. R
- Degree in the subject you wish to teach.
- Qualified to teach that age range.
- Certificate to teach English as a second language, or a degree in English if teaching English in a training centre, college or university.
- Pass a medical, obtain a work and residency permit to stay and work. R
- Contracts from 6 months to 3 years that can be renewable. R
There are some schools that will employ you without a teaching certificate and not your age range, although to obtain a teaching permit and residence you basically require what the government legally requires you to have for teaching in Dubai.
Accommodation
All international schools, college and universities and other state education providers supply single or shared accommodation. The accommodation ranges in size and standards depending on your employer, and many places for teachers and lecturers are a distance away from your organisation. An accommodation allowance is also payable instead of providing accommodation, although renting is expensive in Dubai.
